more predictable than previous balls. Unlike the Jabulani from 2010, which was
criticized for its flight unpredictability, the Brazuca received widespread praise for its
accuracy and control. It featured a vibrant, ribbon-like design inspired by Brazilian
culture and carnival colors. The thermally bonded panels provided better grip,
touch, and water resistance. The ball was used in memorable matches, including
Germany’s 7-1 victory over Brazil and their 1-0 win over Argentina in the final. A
special gold version, the Brazuca Final Rio, was used in the championship match.
