Mini Size Ball
The Adidas Telstar Durlast was the official match ball of the 1974 FIFA World Cup in
West Germany. It retained the iconic black-and-white 32-panel design from the 1970
Telstar, improving visibility on television. However, Adidas introduced a second ball, the
Adidas Chile Durlast, which was completely white and used in some matches. Made
of genuine leather with a Durlast coating, the ball offered better water resistance
and durability. The 1974 World Cup saw the rise of Total Football, with the ball
played in legendary matches featuring Johan Cruyff’s Netherlands and Franz
Beckenbauer’s West Germany. This tournament ended with West Germany’s
victory, and the Telstar Durlast became a symbol of classic football history. It set
the foundation for future Adidas World Cup balls and remains a collector’s favorite
today.
